Fake Mustache gWishlist Blog Facebook Twitter Instagram Ko fi 1 Meet Me in London 2 Meet Me in Hawaii Meet Me in Hawaii was a lovely romance and I managed to read it in two days It s very fast paced and captures your attention straight away I remember Meet Me in Londoniving me Christmas vibes and Meet Me in Hawaii managed to do the same with the summer destination The coctails beaches and surfing Meet Me in Hawaii managed to do the same with the summer destination The coctails beaches and surfing a in Hawaii managed to do the same with the summer destination The coctails beaches and surfing brought a atmosphere and during the pandemic I actually really needed a little bit of that I really liked Malie as a character especially her story and how she bravely tries to be happy and et rid of all the uild she feels and of all the uild she feels And also liked Todd with his own traumatic childhood and his broken relationship with his father I loved how these two characters managed to find themselves and click so fast I loved their beginning scenes and they ave me many butterflies However then Malie makes some poor decisions and I didn t enjoy them I am not a fan when a character decides to stop a potential relationship from happening because they are scared of being hurt They could both feel the tension and they both at some point tried to resist it and then Malie properly rejected him and I was just agitated But that s just because I m very picky with my romance tropes It s a it s not you it s me situation But apart from this I really enjoyed the whole bookI especially enjoyed the children and their interaction with Malie as a surfing teacher Tara s story was very moving and to be fair I would have loved to read about Jonny and Sky I felt like there was an opportunity to explore this and things were left unsaid The competition in the end was uite interesting as well and I loved the endingEven though it s mainly a romance story Meet Me in Hawaii is so much than that It s also a story about Hey Wait a Minute! Five Rough and Reluctant Sex Erotica Stories grief anduilt and moving forward A story about true friendships one of those strong ones that are uite rare to encounter these days It s a story about relationships not just between partners but between friends and parents too But most importantly about the freedom to be able to do what makes us happy in our lives Meet me in Hawaii is the second book in the Meet Me series It is a very sweet and feel Drawing Straws good romance set against the beautiful backdrop of Hawaii Malie a surf instructor meets the attractive millionaire Todd who has come over to Hawaii with his charity to use the surfing recuperation programme with aroup of disadvantaged children Malie rescues him uite by accident when he ets caught in a riptide and this forms the beginning of their relationship and lays the foundations for the rest of the storyAlthough some of the characters in the first book are introduced again Meet Me in Hawaii works well as a standalone and there is sufficient background history covered to et a feel of the previous book The characters are likeable and fun and there wasn t one I disliked I particularly enjoyed the bond Malie had with her close friends and the fact this bond had deepened after their shocking car accident in their youth This is a lovely supportive friendship Ethical Responsiveness and the Politics of Difference group and I adored their Lost Hours emergency video callsThere is not an awful lot in the way of content to reallyet your teeth into The story has a lot of dialogue and very little in the way of rich description I would have loved to have seen a lot descriptions of the setting the visits to the Dole Plantation and the North Shore could have been explored in much detail adding extra depth to the story Descriptions of the local cuisine always The scarecrow go down well with me in books and this again was skimmed over but could have added another layer of interest I did enjoy learning about surfing though and learnt uite a lotThe romance was very uick they fell in love almost instantly but subseuently there was too much indecision and dallying around toet to where they actually needed to be Malie being unable to commit to the relationship because she felt she didn t deserve happiness due to some tragic events in her past She led Todd on a merry dance on than one occasion and. ‘Totally dreamy funny in all the right places and unabashedly romantic I loved it’ – Laura Jane Williams bestselling author of Our StopWhere an ocean of love awaitsMalie Pukui doesn’t believe in happy ever after After a tragedy caused her to flee her family and friends in Devon she found a fresh start in Hawaii Here working at a surf school she can Elizabeth Cady Stanton give back to those in need and try to overcome thereatest loss in her lifeMoved around foster homes throughout his childhood Todd Masters has worked hard to be able to offer a brighter future to young disadvantaged children Now he has his own charitable foundation working with a sur. E while she works at her uncle s surf school in HawaiiThis book captures the feeling of Hawaii from the very start The romance aspect starts soon afterwards Malie comes across as a lovely person despite her pain and her rapport with the underprivileged kids that she teaches is evidentYou don t need to have read Meet me in London first as the background is covered but I recommend that you do I believe this book opens up a series and we will soon be reading about
