Ssions escalate Diana fears she’s really fooling herselfHenry is captivated by the fiery spirit concealed beneath Diana’s prim exterior Before long he wonders if the woman he never thought he’d want is the one he can no longer live without Wooing this wallflower may be the hardest thing he’s everone but can he tempt Diana to take a risk and love a rogue. This is my first book that I read from this author Since I am sucker for wallflower and rogue theme I got intrigued with this story I like the hero very much He is not afraid to express oes feelings Although I can t say I like the heroine It is just the reason she is afraid is not eep enough for me I understand what she is going tru but it is too muchThis is a simple story that there are no complications I liked the witty banter of the hh Honestly while I am reading this story I am going for a 4 stars but as it progress if came After the Rubicon down to 3 starsI am little bit interested about the 2 first books but I can t say if I will be jumping into it already Iidn t like the first 2 books in the series so feel free to skip them They had too much angstThis book was fun The heroine is a wallflower in her 7th season and hero wants to start a horse farm and needs to be respectable So he asks her to have a pretend courtship to make her attractive to other guys and him look respectable to investorsNaturally he falls in love with her and has to convince her he really means itThere is a bit of sadness with her parents having a troubled marriage and being separated but it all works out okThe love scenes were hot the hero said some beautiful things to the heroine and I really enjoyed this book I really enjoyed this book I understand that it is the third book in a series but it read as a stand alone and I A Prescription for Murder didn t feel as if I had missed anything not having read the prior books This book was about Henry Hal total catch and player and Diana wallflower Henry s mother likes Diana and always makes Henryance with her whenever she can Henry resents this The two begin anew at a ball thrown by Henry s parents Henry realises that there is an interesting person beneath the very proper facade that Diana portrays Then his new found irection in buying a stud farm is somewhat thwarted as his father says he first needs to prove his change of irection is lasting he has a history of trying and Accounting for Taste discarding things and he needs to become respectable It is here that Diana comes in to play Henry offers her aeal He will court her other men will notice her giving her some options and he gets to be thought of as respectable Win Win Except Henry falls in loveDiana Anarchist Modernism doesn t co operateThe two end up married of course but this isn t the end of therama as Diana has her own issues Henry has to step up to help her An Audience of Artists deal with theseI liked these two together At points in the book I was wondering whatirection it would take and predicting some very A Dogs Head dire andramatic outcomes I was wrong The author wrote these two characters and the events they go through to get to their HEA wellI m not sure if I would go back and read the two prior books given the characters they are about feature in this book but
i would efinitely pick up any new titles would efinitely pick up any new titles this author I m a sucker for happily ever afters but I m picky about the journey When a historical romance His Virgin Secretary doesn t work for me it s usually because the obstacles are createdue to lack of irect conversation or there are misunderstandings so outrageous they beggar belief When
Historical Romances Do Workromances o work me they feature a hero and heroine who are learning about themselves as much as they are learning about each other and the challenges in their courtship are ramatic and emotional without being unhealthyThis book is one of those that workHenry Weston comes from the blessed Westons wealthy good looking good hud While his sisters have fallen happily into matrimony Lindsey s two previous novels Henry is just as happy to keep up with his string of women and fun loving life Except he s kind of not When he finally acknowledges he has an aspiration to breed horses he learns that the owner of the famed stud he plans to purchase is afraid Henry will turn it into a brothel or some pleasure palace To purchase the stud Henry has to prove he s a real gentleman Henry s parents are agreed if Henry can find investors for half the cost they ll front him the other halfDiana Merriwether is the granddaughter of a uchess facing her seventh season single Resigned to being a spinster Diana has guarded herself from all impropriety Bread of Dreams due to the scandal of her parents separation than fifteen years earlier Wounded too from her father s rejection of her and preference for her brother Diana is certain that love is fickle She wants none of that nonsenseAfter being encouraged to be nice to Diana for years including being urged by his mother toance with her at least once if they re at the same event Henry offers Diana an odd bargain If she ll enter into a mock courtship with him to make him seem as if he s the reformed gentleman for who but the blameless would Diana Merriwether court he guarantees his interest in her will Beth Sholom Synagogue draw other suitors and she may throw him over at the end of the season for her real choiceYou can imagine the shenanigans that ensue from this arrangement Refreshingly while there are some moments of miscommunication thato add conflict Lindsey Calvinists Incorporated doesn t turn this into an agonizingly long wait for Diana and Henry to just admit. The seven Weston siblings have been blessed with Shakespearean names and an affinity for impropriety Keep falling in love with this wild family in this story of a charming rogue who meets his match in the woman he always thought he’d never wantHandsomeebonair and heir to his father’s title and wealth Henry Weston leads a charmed life Women want him and men. .
Their feelings To my surprise and Building Ideas delight the novel s endoesn t come with their inevitable to marriage but their growth as a couple learning to trust each other and behave honestly Diana Betting on Ideas doesn t trust that she s loveable Normally that s a trope I loathe in a heroine but Lindsey articulates it in a manner that makes sense given Diana s past and when Diana gets over it it s so very satisfying And kind of made me teary because yeah I ve got my own anxieties about my loveable nessNow for the important part the sex is hot They re into each other there are no weird hang ups about liking sex or their bodies Lindseyoesn t use any uncomfortably odd euphemisms for body parts and happily it s than just missionary style Those who are shy or prude ish might be uncomfortable but the sexy scenes still feel romance novel y rather than erotica yI was stunned to Cahokia discover upon finishing this book that this is self published The uality of the writing the editing and the e book s formatting had me assuming this came from a traditional publisher Kudos to Lindsey for that I m absolutely eager for another book from Lindsey and can see why her fans keep calling for of the Westons They re a charming bunch and I m smitten If you re facing hectic holidays consider adding this one to the ueue for fun engrossing escapism Almost PerfectThis is my first Sara Lindsey book and I must say I am hooked The hero is charming honorable and just overall likable The heroine is your typical virginal wallflower but theifference is that she is the one with the emotional baggage usually it is the hero who has issues No angst No cheating between the hero and heroine No stubbornness bordering on irrational behavior Their love story was so well written that it just captivated me until the very end There is also the second chance love story of the heroine s parents The book would have been perfect for me if not for the heroine s father s mistake The storyline is emotionally gripping enough but not too heavy It has humor and passion yes hot lovemaking scenes It has a satisfying HEA and epilogue I have to be honest and say that I Casuistry and Modern Ethics did not read the prior books in this series Iid love Henry s wicked ways I knew where their sham courtship was going to go of course but it was so much fun getting there I thought this was fine as a stand alone book Very good romantic read I have been impatiently waiting for the third book in the Weston series and Sara Lindsey Chicago Neighborhoods and Suburbs did notisappoint If you look at my profile you will notice that I read hundreds of books a year and while I rate them all I write very few reviews I had to stop after reading this book and take a moment to praise not only the beautifully written story of Henry and Diana but Sara Lindsey for having such commitment to her series and her fans to self publish when her initial publisher made the idiot move of not opting for the third book Sara has mastered the craft of balancing the historical with the romance in a way that few authors can match Her characters behave in ways you can relate to and identify with and the passion between her heroes and heroines is never in Back to the Breast doubt If you have not read the first two books in the Weston Series Promise Me Tonight and Tempting the Maruess I implore you to read them first You will not beisappointed Brava Ms Lindsey Brava For anyone who enjoys reading regency romance like I Composing the Soul do I m sure you agree on how hard it is to find original stories that still stay true to the essential elements that make historical romances uniue We need a strong minded heroine a sweet yet roguish male and a scandal that is both believable and is able to provide some obstacle for the young couple to overcome A Rogue for All Seasons has all of these plus some And maybe best of all there is no insta loveI just cannot stress how much I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end The opening scene of this book wasefinitely a shock to read it was so harsh and ifferent from any other books I ve read and served its purpose of thrusting readers into Diana and Henry s world perfectly Even though I haven t read the previous two books in the series which are about Henry s sisters courtships I connected with the characters and storylines in no time and was emotionally invested in bothLet s start
